Dr. Rappaport is a native of Northern Virginia. She received a B.S. in Biology in 1982 from the College of William and Mary, a B.S. in Nursing from George Mason University in 1985, and her M.D. from Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University in 1991. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, and was board certified in pediatrics in 1994. She began private practice in Alexandria, Virginia, in 1994 where she worked until she came to Leesburg in 2001.

She is a volunteer for the Loudoun Medical Reserve Corps. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Medical Society of Virginia.

Dr. Rappaport lives in Reston, Virginia, with her husband. She is the proud mother of 2 grown children, Ian and Nicole.  She loves spending time with her family and 4 rescue cats and dogs.
