Dr. Groeber was raised with a profoundly developmentally delayed brother with multiple medical problems, a sister who lost her vision and hearing as a teen, and a father who was mortally wounded by a careless surgeon. She brings a unique perspective to pediatric practice and believes that without the right of informed refusal, there is no true right of informed consent. “Primum non nocere” are the words she practices by, “above all do no harm.”
Dr. Groeber received a B.S. in biochemistry at Albright College in 1986, her M.D. at Penn State College of Medicine in 1990, and served her Pediatric Internship and Residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, from 1990 to 1993. She is board certified in pediatrics.
Dr. Groeber joined the Leesburg medical community in 1995. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Northern Virginia Pediatric Society . She resides in Potomac Falls, Virginia, with her husband, Jon, and has two grown daughters, Evy and Caroline.
