Not accepting new patient families at this time
Dr. Konkus grew up in southeastern Pennsylvania, and as a child, had wanted to become a physician like her grandfather one day. She attended Gettysburg College and graduated with a B.S. degree in Biology in 1999. She then attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh and graduated in 2004. Her pediatric residency training was completed at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in 2007. From residency, she joined a practice in Pittsburgh and practiced there for 10 years. Dr. Konkus was thrilled to join Town Pediatrics in the Fall of 2017. She and her husband, Chris, decided to start a new adventure in northern Virginia with their two young children, Sam and Drew.
In her free time, Dr. Konkus enjoys listening to live music and travelling. She also sings with the Master Singers of Virginia, a choral ensemble group. She enjoys going to the zoo and museums with her family and is very excited to be so close to the many offerings in Washington, DC and Virginia. She is also a self-professed “Foodie” and is looking forward to exploring all the amazing local restaurants.
