It is our continued goal to ensure that your child continues to receive the needed health supervision and chronic care follow up recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics . We also want to make sure that your child continues to main the necessary health requirements set by tain and complete Loudoun County Public schools anticipation of the coming 20202021 year. for This includes scheduling for Well Child exams and Sports Physicals. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics Bright Futures Guidelines for Best Practice every child should have a complete physical examination done yearly for best outcomes to be achieved. The annual physical exam provides opportunities for the healthcare professional to educate children and their parents about their growth and development and appropriate expectations for behaviors at a given age. It also provides opportunities for the early identification of illnesses or abnormal conditions. It affords opportunities to discuss how to optimize your child’s health and to provide preventive interventions such as vaccines. During this time, the staff at Town Pediatrics want to ensure you we continue to implement strong sanitary precautions and exercise continuing vigilance. We have created safe barrie rs and developed protocols to adhere to social distancing guidelines to keep our office available for all the needs of our patients. This includes Well Child exams . We have taken additional precautions to separate the Sick and Well visits. We have dedicat ed Suites F and G for Well appointments only. Once you arrive in the parking lot for your scheduled visit, we ask that you text us of your arrival. We will ask that you remain in your car until your provider is ready to see you. A nurse will let you kno to that room. w a room is ready and will escort you directly Eliminating the need to sit in the waiting room, along with strategically scheduling appointments, allows us to maintain and adhere to social distancing standards. Protocols for sick visits hav e changed as well. We are triaging all sick calls and scheduling needed appointments as TeleVisits, or in Suite A.person office visits in We are also assessing some respiratory sick visits in a tent outside Suite A if necessary. For those of you who w ould like to catch up on missed Well Child exams/immunizations, or get an early start on sports, camp and school physicals, we have the capacity and have made appointments available for you.
