At Town Pediatrics your child’s safety is our greatest concern. Part of your child’s safety is continued attention to preventive services. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that we as providers continue this service during the novel COVID-19 pandemic. Why is well childcare important at a time when everyone is being asked to stay at home? Well, child appointments are visits when we check to make sure your child’s physical and mental health are sound. They are also a time to make sure immunizations are kept up to date. Remember, immunizations are especially important during a public a health crisis to make sure there are not outbreaks of other diseases, like measles. How can I be sure that my child will be safe from spreading of disease in your office? We want to let you know that because of our unique office setting (with 3 separate HVAC systems), we can keep our sick and well patients completely separated. Patients with symptoms of cough, fever, or shortness of breath (suspected Coronavirus) will be seen in outside or in their car. In addition, we are bringing patients to rooms directly from your car (no waiting room). Just call upon your arrival. Your provider will be wearing a mask and gloves. All surfaces and knobs are fully wiped down between each patient. We are monitoring all staff members twice a day. Every employee has their temperature taken 2 times a day, upon arrival and after lunch. Any sick employee would be immediately sent home.
